Who is collecting it

What we collect

If you send an enquiry, we collect the contact and finance-enquiry details you choose to provide. This can include your name, phone number, email address, finance purpose, requested amount, broad income and expense information, timeframe, employment or business status, and your contact preferences.

We may also record the page where the enquiry began, referring-site hostname, campaign tags, and a broad browser, operating-system or device category for attribution, security and troubleshooting. The current enquiry implementation does not intentionally store precise location, a device fingerprint, or a full raw browser signature.

Why we collect it

We use enquiry information to respond, understand the finance purpose, discuss potentially relevant pathways, maintain a record of the conversation, protect the service from misuse, and improve the website. If you do not provide reachable contact details, we cannot follow up. A website enquiry does not itself lodge a credit application.

Storage and disclosure

Enquiries are stored in RateSmart's restricted customer-management system and may generate internal email or messaging notifications so the team can respond. We may use hosting, communications, security and other service providers to operate those systems. Some providers may process information outside Australia. Contact us if you want current information about those providers or locations.

We may disclose relevant information to a broker, lender or other finance-service participant when you ask us to progress your enquiry, and where authorised or required by law. We do not treat an initial website enquiry as permission to lodge an application.

Access, correction and concerns

Contact us to request access to or correction of personal information we hold, to ask about retention, or to raise a privacy concern. Please describe the record or concern and provide a safe way for us to respond. We may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing information.

Maps and external services

Interactive maps load only after you choose to load them. The map provider may then receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details under its own privacy terms. Links to other websites are governed by those websites' privacy practices.
